To All Candidates in The Fighting Fifth:
As the first declared candidate in the GOP nomination race, it was my intent to bring open and honest debate to the process and bring to the forefront what I considered to be the most pressing issues of our time.
I have since seen several other candidates step forward who share (or seem to embody) some of these same principles. While I am no longer in that particular battle, I am still very much involved in the 5th District contest, since the outcome will have an impact on my family, as well as my nation.
As some of you may know, I was invited to join the CB Media Network on BlogTalkRadio, and have been broadcasting a weekly show there since early November. You may also be aware that, so far, only one candidate in the 5th has made an appearance there. While I enjoyed having Mr. Verga on my show last December, my mind is hardly made up, and I have neither endorsed nor publicly supported any candidate thus far.
My primary objective is to bring to my listeners the views, values, and principles of ALL candidates in the 5th, regardless of party. A thorough knowledge of where you all stand on the issues of the day is crucial to the voters of the Fighting Fifth, especially in a primary.
That being said, I am hereby formally inviting all candidates (in no particular order) to join me on The Sons Of Liberty Show for an entire hour, at your discretion and convenience. Kenneth Boyd, James McKelvey, Ron Ferrin, Feda Kidd Morton, Jeff Clark, Tom Perriello, Michael McPadden, and Senator Robert Hurt: will you give the voters of the 5th district the same opportunity to get to know you and your prinicples that Laurence Verga has already given them, by coming on my show for an hour?
If you would like to arrange a suitable time, please contact me at SonsOfLibertyRadio@gmail.com
Cordially and sincerely, in the cause and spirit of Liberty,
Bradley S. Rees

Update:
I was joined by Mr. Ron Ferrin on the 1-16-10 edition of The Sons Of Liberty Show. Archives can be found, as always, here.
Update #2:
Currently working on the logistics, but sitting 5th District Congressman Tom Perriello (D) has graciously accepted my invitation to appear as a guest for a 20-30 minute segment on an upcoming broadcast. In my opinion, this leaves no excuse for any of the Republican candidates to decline a free 1-hour interview.
Republicans, what say you?
Update #3:
Overnight I was contacted by the McPadden campaign, and will be firming up scheduling with them. I look forward to welcoming Mike to the show, and eagerly anticipate contact with the few remaining candidates in the very near future.
